Most congregations run weekly, with extra visits after large events.
Why worship spaces are different
The building is busy at fixed hours and empty the rest of the week, so cleaning has to fit around services, weddings, funerals and midweek groups — not the other way around. And much of what needs care is old: pews, original wood, brass, stained glass surrounds. The wrong product on any of them causes damage that does not come back.
What the service covers
- Sanctuary: pews wiped, aisles and entry vacuumed
- Narthex and entryways, including glass doors
- Restrooms sanitized and restocked
- Fellowship hall and kitchen after events
- Classrooms and nursery, including high-touch surfaces
- Hard floors and carpeted areas throughout
What it does not
- Stained glass, which needs a conservation specialist
- Organ, instruments, sound equipment and AV gear
- Anything on the altar or in the sacristy — we don't handle those
- Work above the second floor or requiring scaffolding
